While the Luxury trim holds the base model designation, there’s nothing basic about it. The exterior features 18-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels with a Bright Silver finish, or you can upgrade to 20-inch Chrome or Gloss Black designs. The front fascia features signature LED daytime running lights, LED headlights with front cornering lamps, and upper and lower active aero shutters.

The rear fascia has LED taillights and a roof-mounted rear spoiler standard. You get a power liftgate to open the rear cargo area with the push of a button. Galvano roof rails, deep-tinted glass, and a power sunroof add convenience and style to the Luxury trim. More impressive good looks come with the body-color door handles with a chrome strip and body-color heated side-view mirrors.

Under the hood of the XT6 Luxury, you’ll find a turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine with direct injection technology. Cadillac pairs this engine with a nine-speed automatic transmission. This powertrain puts out 235 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque.

The Luxury comes standard with front-wheel drive, or you can opt for the all-wheel-drive platform. The FWD features three selectable drive modes. You can choose Touring mode for your everyday driving conditions or select the Snow/Ice mode for those winter conditions. A Sport mode dials in your throttle and suspension for a more thrilling driving experience. AWD offers three selectable drive modes, as well. You get the Touring mode and Sport mode, plus an Off-Road mode for when you leave the pavement behind.

Inside the XT6, you find three rows of seating for up to seven people. Second-row captain’s chairs are available as an upgrade. The leather-wrapped steering wheel has all the controls for operating your audio, phone, voice recognition, and cruise control systems. Leatherette upholstery offers upscale quality and comfort in the Luxury trim. Heated front seats are standard with two driver memory settings on the power-adjustable seats.

An 8-inch touch screen handles all your in-vehicle technology. Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Amazon Alexa built-in provide seamless access to all your smart devices. Now you can make calls, send texts, access your favorite playlists, and more hands-free using intuitive voice commands. An optional rear entertainment system comes with dual 8-inch HD screens with multiple inputs, wireless streaming, and wireless infrared headphones. A premium eight-speaker audio system from Bose provides crystal clear sound.

You get various driver-assist systems on the Luxury trim that use advanced radar and optics to monitor the road around your XT6 Luxury. These systems include forward collision alert, front pedestrian braking, front and rear park assist, lane-keep assist with lane departure warning, and a high-definition rear camera. When a system detects a potential incident, you receive visual, audio, and haptic alerts through the Safety Alert Seat. These haptic alerts are directionally placed vibrations indicating the location of the alert.

Cadillac XT6 Premium Luxury Trim

The Premium Luxury model rolls on 20-inch six-split-spoke alloy wheels with a Polished/Android finish and upgrades to a hands-free foot-activated power liftgate. The outside mirrors add power and auto-dimming functionality with integrated turn signal indicators. You also get RainSense automatic windshield wipers that automatically turn on when moisture is detected on the windshield.

Under the hood, the Premium Luxury trim moves to a 3.6-liter V-6 engine paired with the nine-speed automatic transmission. This powertrain delivers an impressive 310 horsepower and 271 pound-feet of torque and can tow up to 4,000 pounds when properly equipped. You can add the available damping system that adjusts your suspension’s stiffness every two milliseconds to smooth out the imperfections in the road.

The Premium Luxury comes standard with FWD, or you can opt for AWD with the same driver mode selections. You also have access to the smart trailering system with hitch guidance and hitch view technology. This trailering package adds a more powerful alternator and a heavy-duty cooling system.

Inside, the Premium Luxury model comes with semi-aniline leather seats in various colors and patterns. You also get ventilated seat standard for the front passenger and driver. A heated leather-wrapped steering wheel, soft-touch surfaces, and exotic wood and carbon fiber trim add a refined look and feel to the interior. The third-row seats come with a power-fold function, and the second row folds flat to expand your storage to 78.7 cubic feet behind the first row.

The Premium Luxury trim has all the driver-assist systems of the Luxury model but adds a few more. You get a lane change alert with a side blind zone alert system that alerts you when vehicles enter your blind spots when making a lane-changing maneuver. A rear cross-traffic alert system uses sensors to detect when a vehicle approaches from either side while you are in reverse. You can add the Night Vision system to your Premium Luxury XT6. This night vision streams live video with night vision technology to illuminate pedestrians and animals ahead.

Cadillac XT6 Sport Trim

Cadillac’s XT6 Sport trim has all the same features of the Premium Luxury but adds sport-inspired exterior designs like 20-inch 12-spoke diamond cut alloy wheels with Dark Android Satin finished pockets. Every XT6 Sport models come with a sport-tuned suspension with a real-time damping system standard. The Sport model comes only in all-wheel-drive, but the system uses twin-clutch technology not found on the Luxury and Premium Luxury AWD models. This twin-clutch system allows for torque to go independently to the left or right wheels for maximum traction and control while cornering.
