If you’re shopping for a luxury full-size SUV, it’s a good idea to get the 2021 Cadillac Escalade. This highly rated SUV has many appealing attributes, one of which is its well-appointed and refined interior. It comes in five trim levels with varying interior design elements and features to suit different needs and preferences: the base Luxury, Premium Luxury, Sport, Premium Luxury Platinum, and the top-of-the-line Sport Platinum. Check out this detailed guide to the interior of the 2021 Cadillac Escalade.

The Escalade’s Design

On the inside, the 2021 Cadillac Escalade truly looks and feels like the flagship Cadillac vehicle. Featuring a modern and sophisticated design, its cabin is replete with premium-quality materials and elegant trim pieces that contribute to an upscale atmosphere. There’s a generous amount of wood and brushed metal trim on the dashboard and center console and soft-touch leather surfaces everywhere. In fact, you’ll have a hard time finding cost-cutting materials in this SUV. The interior feature that takes center stage is the OLED three-screen digital display that stretches 38 inches across the dashboard.

For the 2021 model year, the interior of the Cadillac Escalade has increased in size and features lower and flatter surfaces. This results in improved outward visibility and an airier and more open environment. The feeling of expansiveness makes the cabin more conducive to relaxation.

The interior color of the Cadillac Escalade varies depending on the trim level. There are altogether six color schemes for you to choose from: Jet Black, Whisper Beige with Gideon accents, Whisper Beige with Jet Black accents, Parchment with Jet Black accents, Brandy with Very Dark Atmosphere accents, and Dark Auburn with Jet Black accents.

Is there 3rd Row Seating?

If you regularly need to drive a large number of people around, the 2021 Cadillac Escalade is the ideal vehicle for you. This three-row SUV has a seating capacity of seven or eight, depending on whether you opt for two captain’s chairs or a bench seat in the second row.

Due to its new independent rear suspension and longer body, the latest Escalade offers more passenger and cargo space than its predecessor. The majority of the increase in cabin space is realized in the rearmost seats, which offer 10.4 inches more legroom than before. Now, even large adults can stretch out in those seats. The front and second-row seats continue to provide plenty of legroom and headroom, so there isn’t really a bad seat in this SUV.

The seats in the Cadillac Escalade are exceptionally comfortable. They provide adequate cushioning and support for you and your passengers to feel relaxed throughout a long trip. The front seats are especially pampering as they come with an array of standard and optional comfort features.

How Much Cargo Space does the Escalade Have?

As a result of its redesign, the 2021 Cadillac Escalade has a larger cargo capacity than almost every luxury large SUV on the market. In its standard wheelbase configuration, this SUV offers 25.5 cubic feet of storage space behind the rearmost seats and 72.9 cubic feet behind the middle-row seats. If you fold both of these rows down, you’ll increase the cargo capacity to 121 cubic feet. Power-folding second- and third-row seats make it easier to alter and access the cargo space.

The extended-wheelbase Cadillac Escalade has an even more cavernous cargo area. It gives you 41.5 cubic feet of space with the third-row seats upright, 94.1 cubic feet with those seats folded, and an incredible 142.8 cubic feet with the second- and third-row seats down. In this configuration, the Escalade offers significantly more cargo room than all of its rivals.

Premiere Comfort and Convenience Features

As a luxury vehicle, the new Cadillac Escalade is equipped with a long list of standard comfort and convenience features to deliver a truly pleasant ride. The base model of this SUV comes with synthetic leather upholstery, 12-way power front seats, heated front seats, a driver’s seat with memory settings, heated second-row seats, a power-adjustable steering wheel, a tri-zone automatic climate control system, remote start, proximity keyless entry, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a household-style power outlet, and a universal garage door opener.

If you want to kick things up a notch, you can move up the trim ladder or purchase an option or package to gain access to a variety of available features. These features include genuine leather upholstery, semi-aniline or quilted leather upholstery, 16-way power front seats, ventilated front seats, massaging front seats, a panoramic sun-roof, a center console refrigerator, and cabin air ionization.

Cadillac’s Infotainment Features

As mentioned earlier, the centerpiece of the Cadillac Escalade’s interior is a 38-inch three-screen digital display. The display consists of a 16.9-inch touch-screen infotainment display, a 14.2-inch instrument cluster, and a 7.2-inch touch-screen driver information display.

Additionally, the Escalade offers many other standard tech features to make driving easier and more enjoyable, such as navigation, Bluetooth, HD radio, satellite radio, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, two USB ports, wireless device charging, a Wi-Fi hot spot, and a 19-speaker AKG Studio sound system. To upgrade your in-vehicle experience, you can get optional features such as a 36-speaker AKG Studio Reference audio system and a dual-screen rear-seat entertainment system.

Driver-Assistance Technologies

Besides basic safety features such as air bags and LATCH connectors, every Cadillac Escalade is fitted with a wide selection of driver-assistance systems. Designed to help reduce your accident risk, these systems include forward-collision alert, forward automatic emergency braking, front and rear pedestrian monitoring, rain-sensing windshield wipers, automatic high-beam headlamps, front and rear parking sensors, a surround-view parking camera system, rear seat reminder, safety alert seat, and teen driver monitoring.
